Alphabet :- जब A से लेकर Z तक को हम एक साथ लिखते हैं तो वह Alphabet कहलाता है यह 26 होते हैं |(When we write A to Z together then it is called Alphabet, there are 26 of them.)
Example :- A , B , C , D , E , …………………….. Z .
Letter :- जब Alphabet को हम अलग-अलग लिखते हैं तब वह Letter कहलाता है |
(When we write alphabets separately then it is called letter.)
Example :- PEN – P+E+N , MAN – M+A+N etc.
English में letters को हम चार भागों में बाटते हैं (In English we divide letters into four parts.)
1.Capital letter (बड़ा अक्षर)
2. Small letter (छोटा अक्षर)
3. Cursive letter (घसीट पत्र)
4. Capital letter (बड़ा अक्षर)
Word :- जब एक या एक से अधिक अक्षर मिलकर कोई अर्थ बतलाता है तो वह word कहलाता है जबकि कोई अर्थ न बतलाने है पर वह word नहीं होगा |(When one or more letters together convey a meaning then it is called a word whereas if it does not convey any meaning then it will not be a word.)
Example :- Pen – word , Dog – word , Dsk – No word
Vowal :- A , E , I , O , U के पांच Vowel हैं जो Word को बनाने में मदद करती है|
(There are five vowels A, E, I, O, U which help in making words.)
Example :- Pen , Dog , Book , etc
Semi Vowel :- W तथा Y , Semi Vowel है। अगर शब्द में Vowel न हो तो semi vowel का होना जरूरी है अर्थात वह Word नहीं होगा । (W and Y are Semi Vowel. If there is no vowel in the word then it is necessary to have semi vowel, that is, it will not be a word.)
Example :- My , Sky , Dry , Etc.
Consonant :- Vowel तथा Semi Vowel को छोड़कर बचे हुए उन सभी अक्षर consonant होता है consonant 19 होते हैं केवल consonant के द्वारा कोई भी शब्द नहीं बनता है । (Except Vowel and Semi Vowel, all the remaining letters are consonant, there are 19 consonants, no word is formed with only consonant.)
Example :- B,C,D,F,G,H,J,K,L,M,N,P,Q,R,S,T,V,X,Z.
Quasi Vowel :- जब u का उच्चारण अ/आ होता है, तब वह vowel कहलाता है परंतु जब u का उच्चारण यू / य होता है तब वह Quasi vowel कहलाता है।(When u is pronounced a/aa, then it is called vowel but when u is pronounced u/ya then it is called quasi vowel.)
Example :- Umbrella – Vowel , University – Quasi Vowel.
Semi Consonant :- जब H का उच्चारण ‘ह’ होता है तो वह consonant होगा , जबकि H का उच्चारण अ या आ होने पर वह Semi Consonant होता है ।
(When H is pronounced ‘Ha’ then it will be consonant, whereas when H is pronounced ‘A’ or ‘Aa’ it will be Semi Consonant.)
Example :- House – consonant , Honest – Semi consonant.
Mono Thong Word :- Thong का अर्थ Vowel होता है जिस शब्द में केवल एक Vowel लिखा हुआ रहे वह Mono Thong word कहलाता है । (Thong means Vowel. The word in which only one Vowel is written is called Mono Thong word.)
Example :- Pen , Dog , Man , Hand , Etc
Di thong Word :- Di का अर्थ दो होता है, जबकि Thong का अर्थ Vowel होता है जिस शब्द में केवल दो Vowel एक साथ लिखा हुआ रहे , वह Di Thong word कहलाता है । (Di means two, while Thong means Vowel. The word in which only two Vowels are written together is called Di Thong word.)
Example :- Poor , Week , Lie , Pour , Etc .
Tri thong word :- जिस शब्द में किसी भी तरह से तीन Vowel का प्रयोग किया गया हो , वह Tri-thong word कहलाता है । (The word in which three vowels are used in any way is called tri-thong word.)
Example :- Potato , Tomato , People , Leader , Etc.
Common Word :- जिस शब्द में कोई Vowel न हो अथवा दो Vowel अलग-अलग हो अथवा तीन से अधिक Vowel हो वह Common Word कहलाता है ।(The word which does not have any vowel or has two different vowels or has more than three vowels is called a common word.)
Example :- My , Sky , Dry , Doctor , Preparation , Etc.
